Baemin holds back-to-back in-house tech conference and startup hackathon
Baemin held an in-house technology conference and a youth entrepreneurship hackathon on consecutive days to strengthen internal capabilities and support startups. Operator Woowa Brothers held Woowahan Tech Day on July 9, its first internal tech conference, with 24 presentation sessions and two discussion sessions. On July 10 it ran Woowahan Baton, a compressed-format hackathon involving 11 teams and 45 participants. The company plans follow-up programmes with the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation.

Nexon NDC 26 opens; Lee Jung-heon says user understanding is competitiveness in AI era
Nexon opened its game development knowledge-sharing event, the 2026 Nexon Developers Conference (NDC 26), on June 16 at the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation in Seongnam. Marking its 19th edition, the conference features 51 sessions across nine areas including AI, IP, blockchain trends and global cases. Nexon Japan CEO Lee Jung-heon said competitiveness in the AI era comes from understanding and empathising with users.

KT seeks startup AX solutions with AWS and Databricks
KT shared artificial intelligence and cloud-based work innovation strategies with startups in South Korea’s Gyeonggi region. KT said it held “KT AX Immersion Day 2026 Gyeonggi” on June 10 at Pangyo Startup Zone in Seongnam, jointly with the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Amazon Web Services, Databricks Korea and KT Cloud. Sessions covered AI agents, engineering methods and data-driven decision-making, and showcased KT’s Cloudflex cases.
