Bitcoin Core to change security policy, fix and disclose vulnerabilities immediately

Developer Antoine Poinsot (앙투안 푸앵소) said the project will no longer delay disclosure for easily discoverable issues because the delay offers little protection and only slows releases. Under the new policy, fixes will be made quickly and backported to supported older major versions.

The cooperation is seen as a response to Arm-based competitors.
