AI power users more likely managers than juniors, KPMG analysis of 1.4 million prompts shows
How employees use AI tools, rather than how often they use them, can determine performance, an analysis found. KPMG and a University of Texas at Austin team reviewed 1.4 million AI prompts produced by 2,500 employees over eight months and assessed conversations using OpenAI\'s reasoning model ChatGPT o1. Only 5 percent qualified as advanced users, even though 90 percent used AI regularly. Advanced users were more often managers than juniors.

Korea telecoms overhaul governance to match AI Framework Act
South Korea\'s telecom industry is accelerating responses to the AI Framework Act, which took effect on Jan. 22 and sets transparency obligations for high-impact and generative AI. SK Telecom is strengthening an internal governance framework and portal to assess AI risks. KT is applying its ASTRI AI ethics principles and has set safety standards and tools. LG Uplus is running a cross-department AI risk management system and expanding employee training.

SKT launches \'Good AI\' internal campaign, shares AI Framework Act details
SK Telecom is strengthening its company-wide AI governance system in line with the implementation of the AI Framework Act and will launch an internal \'Good AI\' campaign from Jan. 22 to build safe and trusted services. The company will share a simplified summary of key provisions and privacy compliance requirements with employees and upgrade processes using its AI governance portal. SKT also outlined its AI ethics efforts and governance principles.
