Selectstar joins Open Telco AI as official partner
Selectstar, an AI data and reliability evaluation company, said on Thursday it has joined the GSMA-launched Open Telco AI as an official partner for data and AI evaluation. The alliance brings together more than 40 companies and institutions including AT&T, AMD and Google Cloud. Selectstar said it will help verify reliability across the ecosystem, support Open Telco Benchmark operations and provide AI reliability assessment and red-teaming services for telecom operators.

MWC26 set to open, with AI to drive \'intelligence race\'
Mobile World Congress 2026 opens in Barcelona on March 2 for four days, with artificial intelligence expected to dominate discussions across telecom infrastructure and services. The official theme is “The IQ Era,” reflecting a shift toward AI-embedded intelligent infrastructure. Executives from companies including SpaceX, Starlink, AT&T, Nokia, Qualcomm and Rakuten are set to join keynote sessions. South Korea’s three mobile operators will showcase AI strategies and products.

SKT to verify reliability of \'national AI\' model at MWC
SK Telecom said on Feb. 25 it will join the Global AI Red Team Challenge held during MWC26 to verify the safety and reliability of its in-house artificial intelligence model, A.X K1. About 100 evaluators will test large language models from telecom and AI companies for potential misuse, including discriminatory responses and information breaches. The event is co-hosted by GSMA and Selectstar on March 3 in Barcelona.
