Selectstar, an AI data and reliability evaluation company, said on Thursday it has joined the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA)-launched global alliance Open Telco AI as an official partner for data and AI evaluation.
Open Telco AI is an alliance of more than 40 companies and institutions worldwide, including AT&T, AMD and Google Cloud, centred on the GSMA to develop telecom-focused AI with safety and accuracy. In South Korea, SK Telecom and LG Uplus participate, and Selectstar is the only startup included.
Selectstar will take on a role to verify reliability across the ecosystem in the alliance. It will support operations of the Open Telco Benchmark launched at MWC 2026 and plans to provide AI reliability assessment and red-teaming services for telecom operators. At MWC, it showcased its generative AI reliability evaluation platform, the Datumo Platform, drawing interest from major global telecom operators including SoftBank, France's Orange and Deutsche Telekom. The Global AI Red Team Challenge, co-hosted with the GSMA for a second consecutive year, also drew more than 130 visitors.
Selectstar CEO Se-yeop Kim (김세엽) said, "Through our partnership with the GSMA, we will lead a world-class AI safety framework."
