Samsung\'s \'Galaxy Able\' first spotted, hinting at clip-on earbuds
Signs have emerged that Samsung is preparing to launch its first clip-on open earbuds, possibly under a new name, Galaxy Able, rather than the Galaxy Buds brand. TechRadar reported the name appeared in a recent Galaxy Wearable app update alongside Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2. The report said the product could target the fast-growing open-earbud market. It also noted open designs face different audio and fit challenges than traditional earbuds.

Samsung unveils Galaxy Buds4 series built on over 100 million ear data points
Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4 at a Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event in San Francisco on Feb. 25 local time. The company said the earbuds are designed using more than 100 million ear data points and over 10,000 fit simulations. The Buds4 Pro expands speaker effective area by about 20 percent and supports 24bit 96kHz audio. The series adds upgraded adaptive ANC, improved call quality features and Galaxy AI controls, with preorders starting Feb. 27.

Samsung Health registered as first MFDS digital medical, health support device
Samsung Electronics said its Samsung Health features built into the Galaxy Watch8 series were registered with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as the first digital medical and health support device. The company said it completed registration of key functions including heart rate, blood oxygen and step count under the reporting system. The ministry introduced a voluntary reporting and performance certification system from January under the Digital Medical Products Act.
