When 50 BTC was worth less than electricity costs: Bitcoin mining 16 years ago
A resurfaced post from a bitcoin forum dated Sept. 7, 2010, shows early miners questioned whether earning 50 bitcoin per block was worth the electricity used. A user calculated a home computer drew about 140 watts and would take about 14 days to mine a block, consuming about 47.3 kWh, or $5.68 at 12 cents per kWh. The thread also discussed GPU mining, performance gains and rising network difficulty.

Pearl Abyss to launch Crimson Desert globally, targets console market after 7 years
Pearl Abyss will launch its open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert globally on March 20 after seven years of development. The release is seen as a test of whether the company can reduce its reliance on the Black Desert IP and whether Korean games can compete in the console package market beyond mobile MMORPGs. Ahead of launch, the title topped Steam’s global best-seller ranking. Metacritic’s PC score was 78, with mixed reviews.

Pearl Abyss unveils platform performance details for new title Crimson Desert
Pearl Abyss said on March 11 it has disclosed hardware requirements and gameplay performance information for its new title Crimson Desert ahead of its global launch. Players can check expected gameplay environments by platform, including PC, PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro. The company detailed minimum, recommended and top-end PC specifications and graphics presets, as well as console graphics modes. The game is set for a worldwide release on March 20.
