Pearl Abyss said on Tuesday it has released hardware requirements and gameplay performance information for its new title Crimson Desert by PC and console platform ahead of its global launch.
Players can check in advance the gameplay environment suited to each platform and hardware specification, including PC, PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, via the official website.
Crimson Desert's minimum PC requirements call for an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel i5-8500 CPU and a graphics card on par with an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060. Recommended specifications are an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel i5-11600K CPU and an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card.
It offers 6 graphics preset settings, including an in-game "Cinematic" option. With recommended specifications and the "Medium" preset, players can play at 60 frames per second in full HD or at 30 fps in native 4K. The top PC specifications are an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X or Intel i5-13600K CPU and an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT or Nvidia GeForce GTX 5070 Ti graphics card, and it can be expected to deliver 60 fps in native 4K with the "Ultra" preset.
Console platforms offer 3 graphics modes: performance, balanced and quality. Balanced and quality modes on the PS5 support 40 fps and 30 fps in a 4K upscaled resolution environment. On the PS5 Pro, it applies an AI upscaling technology called "Enhanced PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution 2.0)" to further boost detail. Players on Xbox Series and Apple Mac can also enjoy comfortable gameplay through various graphics settings depending on their hardware specifications.
Crimson Desert uses Pearl Abyss' in-house game engine, the BlackSpace Engine, to deliver an immersive single-player experience featuring realistic, high-quality graphics, dynamic combat and action, and free interaction. It will be released worldwide on March 20 for PC and consoles, and pre-orders are under way on the official website and on PS5, Xbox Series, Steam, Apple Mac and the Epic Games Store.
