AI coding startup Cognition raises more than $2 billion, valued at $48 billion
AI coding agent startup Cognition has raised more than $2 billion in a Series E funding round that values the company at $48 billion. SiliconANGLE reported the valuation nearly doubled from the previous round, with annualised revenue close to $900 million. Cognition raised $1 billion in May at a $26 billion valuation. The company develops an AI agent that handles the full software engineering process.

SpaceX explored acquiring AI coding startup Cognition AI, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The talks are not proceeding, the sources said, but the companies are still discussing ways to work together, including Cognition using SpaceX computing resources. Cognition was valued at $26 billion in a May funding round and is said to be discussing raising new funds at at least a $40 billion valuation.

Mobilint signs deals with two Taiwan firms to target industrial AI market
AI chip specialist Mobilint has signed agreements with two Taiwan industrial computing companies, ADLINK Technology and Getac Technology, to expand in global markets. Mobilint said it will apply its AI NPU chip and full-stack software development kit to the companies\' platforms. The partners plan to jointly develop edge AI solutions for industrial sites and conduct sales and marketing for global customers. The tie-ups stem from partnerships formed at COMPUTEX 2026.
