AI chip specialist Mobilint has signed agreements with 2 Taiwan industrial computing companies and is moving to expand in global markets. Mobilint said on Thursday it signed separate memorandums of understanding with ADLINK Technology and Getac Technology and built a cooperation framework to commercialise AI chip-based solutions.
Under the agreements, Mobilint will apply its AI computing chip, an AI NPU (neural processing unit), and its full-stack software development kit to the two companies' platforms. It plans to jointly develop edge AI solutions for use at industrial sites and to conduct sales and marketing activities together for global customers.
ADLINK is a Taiwan company that supplies industrial computing platforms to manufacturing, automation, transportation, healthcare and telecommunications. Getac is a joint venture between U.S. GE Aerospace and Taiwan's MiTAC, and provides rugged laptops and tablets for environments requiring high reliability, including defence, public services, manufacturing and energy. Mobilint plans to link its AI chips to the two companies' platforms and expand applications into manufacturing, logistics, smart cities, public services and defence.
The agreements are the result of Taiwan partnerships formed at COMPUTEX 2026 held last month leading to business deals. Mobilint formed strategic partnerships then with DFI, NEXCOBOT and TOP MEASURE, among others.
Kim Seong-mo (김성모), head of business development at Mobilint, said, "In the industrial AI market, not only semiconductor performance but also integration with various systems and solutions is important." He said, "Through this cooperation, we will build an environment where customers can adopt AI more easily and continuously expand the scope of use of Mobilint AI chips at industrial sites globally."
