U.S. CFTC chair says no repeat of FTX-like collapse as exchange rules accelerate
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission is moving to create a new regulatory framework for cryptocurrency exchanges and says it aims to prevent a repeat of a major collapse like FTX. Commissioner Michael S. Selig said exchanges would be given a path to register with the CFTC to protect digital asset spot markets. The agency has also begun seeking public comment on proposed rules covering platforms offering leveraged or margined crypto trading.

Coinbase CEO says bitcoin could reach up to $400,000 by 2030 on U.S. regulatory tailwinds
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong (브라이언 암스트롱) said he expects bitcoin could rise as high as $400,000 by 2030, citing improving U.S. cryptocurrency legislation. He pointed to momentum around the Clarity bill after a White House meeting where President Donald Trump urged Congress to advance it. Bitcoin later rose to around $72,900. Armstrong said many banks support the bill, while opposition remains limited. Lawmakers have pushed the vote to September.

Fox News to use Kalshi prediction market data on air, excluding sports
Prediction market platform Kalshi will supply prediction market data to Fox Corporation for use across Fox News, Fox Business Network, Fox Weather and Fox One, The Block Crypto reported. Fox Sports is excluded. Kalshi will integrate the data into Fox broadcast and digital content and support real-time data visualisations on political, economic, weather and cultural issues. A Kalshi spokesperson said sports data was not included for now.
