Lee Jeong-eun named October Korea Science and Technology Award winner

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea selected Seoul National University physics and astronomy professor Lee Jeong-eun as the October winner of the Korea Science and Technology Award. The award honours one researcher each month for original achievements over the past three years and includes a deputy prime minister\'s prize and 10 million won. Lee was recognised for identifying how crystalline silicates form and move during protostar formation.

Coupang CISO Mathis says key management, monitoring strengthened, external security advisory committee launched

Coupang said it has pursued follow-up security measures after a personal data leak last year, including improving key management policies and strengthening monitoring. Brett Mathis, Coupang’s chief information security officer, told a parliamentary audit that the company introduced a hardware-based key management system and continues to invest in information security. He also cited an external information security advisory committee and the adoption of passkeys as additional steps.
