380,000 apps built with AI coding tools exposed online, leaking medical, financial and internal company data
As more apps are developed using AI coding tools, cases are rising in which internal company information is exposed online. Israeli cybersecurity company RedAccess said about 380,000 apps built using tools including Lovable, Base44, Replit and Netlify were accessible to anyone on the internet, and about 5,000 contained sensitive corporate data. Axios identified exposed apps containing shipping, healthcare, customer service and bank information.

Uber launches item return service on Uber Eats app, courier picks up from home
Uber has added a service to its Uber Eats app that lets customers return items they bought from home, TechCrunch reported on Thursday. Users can select an option in their order history to return an item with a courier, with fees based on travel time and distance. The service covers only eligible retail items bought on Uber Eats and follows each store’s return policy. Only items priced at $20 or more can be returned.

Attacks targeting externally accessible software and system applications rose 44 percent in a year, with many linked to AI-based vulnerability exploitation. The average cost of an AI-driven data breach is $4.88 million. An Accenture survey found 77 percent of companies lack basic data and AI security systems needed to protect core technology infrastructure.
