KB Securities adopts fair trade compliance programme to strengthen compliance culture

KB Securities has introduced a fair trade compliance programme (CP) and is moving to expand a voluntary compliance culture. The company aims to strengthen its internal compliance system to establish a fair trading order and boost financial consumer trust. It said it held a declaration ceremony for the programme. The system is an internal compliance framework for voluntarily observing fair trade laws and is evaluated and operated by the Korea Fair Trade Mediation Agency under the Fair Trade Commission.

ELS fines cut to 600 billion won after local elections, financial policy in focus

With the June 3 local elections over, attention in South Korea’s financial sector is shifting back to financial authorities and the National Assembly. Issues that lost traction during the campaign, including governance reform at financial holding firms, digital asset regulation, loan rules for non-resident single-homeowners and a compensation liability system for voice phishing, may return to the agenda in the second half. Nextrade STO consortium cleared by FTC, steps up push for final licence

An NXT fractional investment consortium involving Nextrade will accelerate its push for a final licence for an over-the-counter trading venue after South Korea\'s Fair Trade Commission found no wrongdoing in claims of unfair technology use and business interference. Nextrade said the watchdog concluded it was hard to see that it used Lucentblock\'s technology or obstructed its business. The consortium plans to apply for final approval and prepare for a market launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
