Woowa Brothers, the operator of the Baemin delivery platform, maintained international recognition for its compliance management framework. Woowa Brothers said on Sunday it renewed ISO 37301, a compliance management system certification set by the International Organization for Standardization.

ISO 37301 is an international certification that recognises a company’s overall compliance policies and risk response systems as meeting global standards. The certification is maintained through annual follow-up reviews and by passing a regular audit every three years. Woowa Brothers obtained the certification in 2023 as the first in the delivery platform industry and has now completed its first renewal.

Woowa Brothers formed a dedicated compliance organisation and established a Compliance Management System. It has also managed organisational soundness by running training to strengthen internal auditors’ capabilities and collecting company-wide signatures on compliance pledges. It also designates June each year as the “June of compliance” and runs campaigns including training on fair trade laws and rewards for top compliance performers.

It also operates a fair trade compliance programme alongside it. The company introduced the programme in 2017 as the first in the industry, and received an AA rating, an “excellent” grade, in compliance programme evaluations overseen by the Korea Fair Trade Commission in 2022 and 2024.

GRC head Won-jae Lee (이원재) said, “As a result of continuing activities to establish sound governance and comply with standards, we have renewed the certification.” He said, “We will continue to operate a compliance management system that meets global standards and strive to firmly establish ourselves as an ethical company.”
