Kakao denies block deal and affiliate sale rumours, seeks to ease minority shareholder concerns
Kakao denied speculation about a possible block deal by its controlling shareholder and rumours it may sell major affiliates ahead of its planned corporate spin-off. At a minority shareholder meeting in Seoul, it said the split ratio does not represent the two units’ actual enterprise value and could be adjusted later. Kakao also said it will consider reflecting share price and shareholder value in executive compensation and reaffirmed plans for 300 billion won in buybacks and cancellations over three years.

The second event will cover the background and key changes in IFRS 18, expected corporate impacts, and practical issues, along with ERP-based 대응 plans and step-by-step roadmaps.

KT shares AX insights to spread entrepreneurship to future talent
KT shared entrepreneurship needed in the AI era and insights on AI transformation with future talent, it said. Park Sang-won (박상원), head of KT’s AX business division, delivered a special lecture on June 5 at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeouido, Seoul, as part of the Korea Enterprises Federation’s Elite Internship Course. The lecture targeted about 120 university students and included a Q&A session.
