Korea finance sector backs youth employment with AI finance training
Korea\'s finance sector is moving to train young people in AI finance skills through the government\'s K-New Deal Academy. KB Kookmin Bank is recruiting trainees for its KB-Bridge program aimed at unemployed youth outside the Seoul metropolitan area, offering a five-month curriculum and allowances. Woori Financial Group plans to launch the WooriWON Youth IT Academy in August, with eight affiliates participating in job training and mentoring.

FIS, Anthropic to use AI to cut AML investigations from hours to minutes
Financial technology company FIS is developing a financial crime AI agent with Anthropic to cut anti-money laundering investigation times from hours to minutes. The agent is designed to automatically gather evidence across banks\' core systems, match transactions against known patterns and prioritise high-risk cases for investigators. Bank of Montreal and Amalgamated Bank are early adopters, with broader rollout planned for the second half of 2026.

Anthropic unveils 10 more AI agents for financial services
Anthropic has unveiled 10 AI agents for financial services work, a fintech outlet reported. The new agents comprise five for financial research and client coverage and five for finance and operations. They can be used as plugins in Claude for Work or Claude Code, and can also run as Claude managed agents on the Claude platform. Claude also works as an add-in in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
