XRP retreats to November 2024 levels as spot and derivatives markets tilt to selling

XRP slid as low as $0.99, its lowest level since November 2024, as selling pressure dominated both spot and derivatives markets. Data showed worsening cumulative volume delta on Binance perpetual futures and a shift to negative spot CVD on centralized exchanges. Positioning also leaned bearish, with shorts outnumbering longs. The decline coincided with concern over movements from an XRP Ledger account used for the Coreum bridge, though indicators such as spot XRP ETF inflows remained positive.

Google cuts Google Play fees in South Korea to as low as 10 percent, expands in-app and external payments

Google will expand payment options for Google Play developers in South Korea and cut service fees to as low as 10 percent. Developers can offer alternative payment systems or link users to external websites, subject to Google safety requirements. A 10 percent fee applies to the first $1 million of annual revenue generated on Google Play and to auto-renewing subscriptions. The changes take effect in South Korea on Dec. 31.

Bybit EU payments unit secures Austria e-money licence

Bybit\'s European payments subsidiary has secured an electronic money institution licence in Austria, giving it a regulatory basis to add payments and e-money services to its European platform. Bybit said Austria\'s Financial Market Authority granted the licence to Bybit Payments GmbH. The company said this provides a legal basis to offer person-to-person transfers, merchant payment solutions, open banking functions and card products via Bybit.eu for European Economic Area users excluding Malta.
