EU revisits crypto rules, mulls \'MiCA 2\'
The European Union is reviewing its Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) rulebook and is leaving open the possibility of follow-up legislation, an adviser to the European Commission said at Paris Blockchain Week 2026. MiCA includes a review clause requiring the Commission to report by June 30, 2027, and propose legislation if needed.
