Kakao launches online, offline green campaigns for World Environment Day
Kakao is marking World Environment Day with both online and offline environmental campaigns. The company said it is running an online initiative to raise awareness of resource circulation through its KakaoTogether social contribution platform. Users can join by clicking a button, triggering a 1,000 won donation from Kakao once per account. Offline, Kakao plans a volunteer activity on June 6 involving about 100 employees and family members to protect the Unjungcheon stream ecosystem in Seongnam.

Baemin expands discounts for reusable-container orders for Environment Day
Baemin expanded benefits for customers ordering food delivered in reusable containers to mark Environment Day on June 5. Operator Woowa Brothers said it will give dedicated discount coupons on a first-come, first-served basis. From 11 a.m. each day through June 22, the first 600 customers to order with reusable containers will receive a 5,000 won coupon, up to three times per person, with a 10,000 won minimum order.

Hana Bank to hold children\'s nature-themed art contest with 1,000 won donation per entry
Hana Bank will hold the 34th Hana Bank Nature Love Children\'s Art Contest, a nationwide event that lets children express the value of nature and the environment through drawings. Preliminary submissions will be accepted through the contest website until Aug. 24, with images of the artwork and the child drawing required. The bank plans to pick 200 finalists in September for an offline final. It will also set aside 1,000 won per preliminary entry to support nature protection activities.
