Proactive administration shines as EMS to U.S. resumes after emergency TF response
Korea Post’s U.S.-bound Express Mail Service (EMS) effectively stopped last summer after the Trump administration introduced tariffs on most mail items. Korea Post suspended acceptance of nearly all EMS items bound for the United States from Aug. 26, except documents. It formed an emergency task force to build a system to calculate and collect tariffs at post office counters and completed it in 22 days, allowing a rapid resumption of service.

EMS postage to get up to 6 percent additional discount to cut exporters\' burden
South Korea’s post office is offering additional discounts on international express mail to help small export companies cut overseas shipping costs. The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Postal Service said contract customers sending items abroad via EMS and EMS Premium will receive an extra 4 to 6 percent discount from April 20 to May 31. The benefit applies to existing and new contract customers during the period. The agency expects savings felt by customers to exceed about 10 percent when combined with a fee freeze.

Korea Post offers up to 10,000 won discount in EMS Premium event
The Ministry of Science and ICT\'s Postal Service said on Tuesday it will run an \"EMS Premium Spring Sending\" event through May 31, offering fee discounts to customers who send EMS Premium items at post office counters. The discount is 5,000 won per item regardless of weight or destination. Individual customers sending non-document items overseas can qualify, with an additional 5,000 won off shipments to five major countries.
