Naver search vs Kakao chats as AI booking race heats up

Naver and Kakao are accelerating efforts to keep information search, place recommendations and bookings inside their own platforms using AI. Naver is expanding its AI tab in search to connect results to maps and real-time reservations, and is disclosing engagement metrics. Kakao is enhancing travel features that begin in KakaoTalk chats and flow to KakaoMap and its booking service. Analysts say it remains to be seen whether these plans will translate into results.

Kakao Games confirms October launch for new title \'World of Dokkaebi\'

Kakao Games said on Thursday it will officially launch the new mobile MMORPG \"World of Dokkaebi,\" being developed by Supercat, in October. Ahead of the release, the company will hold pre-registrations in August and a showcase in September, where it plans to disclose the game’s core systems and service-related information in advance. It also unveiled the game’s representative illustration for the first time.
