SKT wraps up in-house \'AX Challenge\' hackathon; non-developers make up 50 percent
SK Telecom said on Thursday it has wrapped up its in-house AI hackathon, the \'AX Challenge\', held from May 19 to 21 under the theme \'AI that changes daily life\' to accelerate group-wide AI transformation. The company said 54 teams and 115 people submitted proposals, with non-developer participants accounting for 50 percent. Four teams were selected as top entries in the final round on May 21.

Superfast to invest 11.1 billion won to spot indie games, launch \'super IP\' push
Superfast will deploy 11.1 billion won to discover next-generation indie games and invest in and publish selected developers, the company said on May 18. It aims to become an IP-focused cultural company by expanding game intellectual property into content such as webtoons, fashion and offline spaces. Superfast will hold its first demo day in late June and run it as an on-site platform for investment reviews and publishing talks.

LG Electronics to spin off four in-house ventures into AI, robotics and materials startups
LG Electronics will spin off four in-house ventures into B2B startups in AI, robotics and advanced materials. The company selected the teams at a Studio341 demo day held at its Magok Science Park in Seoul, it said on April 27. The ventures include Seka, Machine Flow, Pre-Kitchen Lab and Atomer. They will receive up to 400 million won each in initial investment and aim to complete the spin-off process in July.
