Codegate Security Forum and Korea Technology Finance Corp (Kibo) will co-host the “Codegate AI Startup Hackathon” for three days from July 21 to 23.
About 20 teams selected through a screening process will be announced on July 15. The event will hold an intensive planning and development hackathon through short-term collaboration from July 21 to 22 at SpaceShare Samseong Station Center, and on the final day, July 23, a demo day and judging will be held at the COEX Grand Ballroom to present the final output.
On the first day of the competition, a talk concert will also be held with panelists including Jin-hyung Kim (김진형), an emeritus professor at KAIST, and Young-beom Jung (정영범), a director at Furiosa AI.
The final evaluation will be based on marketability and commercialization potential, MVP completeness, problem-definition capability and security. Codegate Security Forum explained that security is included in the evaluation criteria with a 20 percent weighting, a feature that verifies capabilities to design safe AI services beyond a simple idea competition.
Awards will be given to 3 teams with certificates and total prize money of 15,000,000 won, with 10,000,000 won for first place, 3,000,000 won for second and 2,000,000 won for third.
