Daedong Robotics appoints Kang Sung-chul as CEO to step up AI field robot business
Daedong Group\'s AI robot-focused affiliate Daedong Robotics said on Wednesday it appointed Kang Sung-chul, currently a vice president at Daedong Mobility, as its new chief executive. Kang will continue to hold his role overseeing development and production at Daedong Mobility. Daedong Robotics plans to internalise robot AI technologies such as autonomous driving and work functions, develop next-generation robots and expand strategic partnerships. It aims to seek Series A funding by the first quarter of 2026.

Daedong Mobility to supply delivery-focused electric motorcycles
Daedong Mobility will step up supply of electric motorcycles for delivery services and work with the government and delivery platform companies to accelerate the shift, it said on Thursday. The company joined an agreement ceremony in Hanam, south of Seoul, attended by 15 companies and institutions. The agreement targets electric motorcycles making up at least 25 percent of new delivery motorcycles by 2030 and at least 60 percent by 2035.

Daedong Mobility unveils premium golf carts at PGA Show in U.S.
Daedong Mobility said it took part in the 2026 PGA Show in Orlando, Florida, where it unveiled a premium golf cart and a North America-spec low-speed electric vehicle concept as it declared plans to enter the North American market. It displayed the six-seat GA900 and outlined a future mobility roadmap integrating AI autonomous transport and divot-repair robots with a service platform. An executive said the event would be a starting point for expansion.
