LG Uplus to work with CryptoLab on homomorphic encryption to build next-generation security
LG Uplus said on March 10 it will cooperate with homomorphic encryption company CryptoLab to build a next-generation security environment aimed at preventing damage even in hacking or data leaks. The companies are conducting a proof of concept to apply the technology to the ixi-O AI call agent and an AI contact centre. LG Uplus said homomorphic encryption allows computation on encrypted data, helping protect plain-text data and supporting protection against quantum-computer attacks.

LG Uplus brings \'human-centred AI\' technologies to MWC26
LG Uplus will present its Humanizing Every Connection vision at MWC26 in Barcelona from March 2 for four days, with a standalone booth. The exhibit follows its 4A AI strategy and highlights voice-based AI including the ixi-O pro agent, along with agentic and self-evolving AI contact centre technologies developed with OpenAI. It will also introduce ixi-Guardian 2.0 security technologies, autonomous network solutions using AI and digital twins, and a sovereign AI full-stack solution.

CryptoLab named sample vendor for homomorphic encryption in Gartner PETs report
CryptoLab said on Feb. 12 that Gartner selected it as a sample vendor in its guide report on privacy-enhancing technologies in the homomorphic encryption field. The report defines homomorphic encryption as a core PET that allows computation while data remain encrypted. It said commercialization was previously difficult due to performance limits, but recent advances and hardware acceleration make faster deployment possible.
