[Barcelona, Spain = DigitalToday reporter Jin-ho Lee] LG Uplus will unveil its 'human-centred AI (Humanizing Every Connection)' vision of connections made through technology at MWC26.
LG Uplus said on March 1 it will set up a standalone exhibition hall at MWC26, which will be held in Barcelona from March 2 local time for four days, and present differentiated AI technologies and daily-life changes enabled by them.
The exhibition hall is structured in four stages in line with the AI strategy '4A (Assured, Adaptive, Accompanied, Altruistic Intelligence)' announced last year. It is designed to move in sequence from security solutions to voice-based AI services, future technologies developed with group affiliates and partner companies, and a brighter world envisioned by human-centred AI.
Voice connects the future... AI agent 'ixi-O pro'
The core of the exhibition is voice-based AI. LG Uplus advanced its AI services focusing on the voice domain, a strength for telecommunications operators.
A flagship service is 'ixi-O pro', an advanced model of the AI agent 'ixi-O'. ixi-O pro is a proactive agent that proposes tasks customers need first, beyond a simple response-type assistant. Video demonstrations introduce how various users reduce day-to-day hassles. The company will also present a future vision in which it is expanded into a physical AI form combined with robots, understanding conversation context and moving on its own in space without separate commands.
Its AI contact centre (CC) has also advanced by a step. 'Agentic AICC', developed in collaboration with OpenAI, handles complex inquiries through conversation alone. 'Self-evolving AICC' analyses and learns context and emotions in real time during counselling.
AI bolsters network fundamentals... unveiling 'ixi-Guardian 2.0'
LG Uplus is also focusing on security. At the exhibition, it will unveil key technologies centred on its security brand 'ixi-Guardian 2.0', including homomorphic encryption, U+SASE and AlphaKey.
Homomorphic encryption, developed in collaboration with CryptoLab, enables computation while data remains encrypted. It can keep the entire process in which data is stored, transmitted and used in encrypted form. LG Uplus plans to apply it to ixi-O and AICC to strengthen security by preventing access to encrypted personal information.
It also applied AI to the network (NW) domain. It automated fault response, quality optimisation and facility management through the 'Autonomous NW' solution using AI agents and digital twins.
Introducing 'sovereign AI'... showing the future through hyper-personalised media art
LG Uplus will also unveil a sovereign AI full-stack solution in collaboration with LG AI Research and FuriosaAI. It was designed so companies can adopt AI by connecting only power and a network without building complex infrastructure, reducing the burden on businesses.
Hyper-personalised media art will close the exhibition. In a work created in collaboration with Universal Everything, it analyses visitors' voices and experience data in real time and renders matching natural landscapes on a large media wall.
Joon-young Jang (장준영), head of the Marketing Group at LG Uplus, said, "MWC26 is a place to show how the human-centred AI pursued by LG Uplus changes customers' daily lives safely and conveniently," adding, "We will combine voice-based experiences, security and autonomous network capabilities to leap into an AI company."
