CryptoLab, a company that develops core homomorphic encryption technology, said on Feb. 12 it was selected as a sample vendor in the homomorphic encryption field in Gartner’s guide report on Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs).
The report defines homomorphic encryption as a core PET technology that enables computation while data remain encrypted. It said commercialization was previously difficult due to performance limits, but recent advances in the technology and in hardware-acceleration environments mean faster commercialization can be expected. It introduced CryptoLab as a sample vendor.
CryptoLab’s homomorphic encryption technology, based on the latest CKKS-based technology known as 4.5th generation, enables AI analysis and computation while data remain encrypted.
Cheon Jeong-hee (천정희), CEO of CryptoLab, said, "Being selected as a sample vendor in a global report is, I think, thanks to recognition of CryptoLab’s efforts as an AI security company to advance its technology in a direction that implements actual AI workflows."
