Amazon launches desktop version of enterprise AI agent Quik with email, calendar and CRM integration
Amazon has launched macOS and Windows versions of its enterprise AI assistant and agent platform Quik, SiliconANGLE reported. Quik brings email, calendars, messaging and customer relationship management data into a single screen, handling repetitive tasks in the background and highlighting priority items. It also ranks notifications and can keep working even when the desktop is off, delivering summaries such as overnight emails or weekly report digests. It runs on AWS infrastructure, Amazon said.

AWS introduces AI agent access for Amazon WorkSpaces Applications
Amazon Web Services said on July 7 it will launch a feature that lets AI agents access and run desktop applications through Amazon WorkSpaces Applications. It said agents can connect through a managed WorkSpaces environment to carry out tasks in desktop apps. Agents interact via a managed Model Context Protocol service endpoint, are authenticated through AWS Identity and Access Management, and activity is logged in AWS CloudTrail and Amazon CloudWatch for auditing and tracking.

AWS launches cloud virtual desktop dedicated to AI agents
Amazon Web Services has formally launched a cloud virtual desktop service dedicated to AI agents, Amazon WorkSpaces for Agents, The New Stack reported on June 30. After a public preview, AWS made the service available to general users. The service lets agents operate companies’ legacy desktop applications without separate integration development or system replacement. Agents connect via the Model Context Protocol, with access managed through AWS IAM and audit logs handled by AWS CloudTrail and Amazon CloudWatch.
