Tazapay raises $36 million in Series B extension led by Circle Ventures
Payment infrastructure firm Tazapay has completed a $36 million Series B extension round led by Circle Ventures, The Block reported on Wednesday. Coinbase Ventures and CMT Digital joined as new investors, while existing backers Peak XV Partners, GMO VenturePartners and January Capital also participated. Tazapay plans to use the funds to expand licences in the UAE, the EU and Hong Kong and accelerate market entry across several regions, while stepping up development of AI-based payment infrastructure.

Hong Kong stablecoin payments startup RedDotPay seeks U.S. IPO this year
Hong Kong-based stablecoin payments company RedDotPay is discussing raising up to $150 million in new funding, The Block reported on Tuesday, citing Bloomberg News. The company is expected to be valued at more than $4 billion in the round. The talks come months after RedDotPay raised $194 million across two funding rounds in September and December 2025, gaining unicorn status. It also plans a U.S. IPO this year.

Circle Ventures invests in EdgeX to support USDC integration, token launch
Circle Ventures has invested an undisclosed amount in decentralised trading platform EdgeX, The Block reported on Feb. 10. The investment will support the project’s token launch and integration of USDC and Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol. EdgeX co-founder Kevin Wang (케빈 왕) said Circle Ventures was the only participant in the round. EdgeX, founded in March 2024, runs a web- and mobile-based decentralised perpetual futures exchange.
