Google starts preorders for $899 AI laptop Googlebook, targets education market with Gemini
Google has started preorders for its $899 AI laptop, Googlebook, and is positioning it above Chromebooks with Gemini features at the forefront, TechCrunch reported. The Android-based device includes Magic Cursor, widget-building tools and an AI dictation feature called Rambler. Google aims to move Chromebook users to Gemini. It said about 50,000,000 Chromebooks are used by students and teachers at schools.

Leaked images show first Googlebook laptop from Lenovo
Images believed to show the first product under Google\'s new laptop brand Googlebook have leaked, featuring a Lenovo model dubbed the Lenovo Googlebook 15. The renders show a thin-bezel design with a notched webcam and privacy shutter, Dolby Atmos speakers, a large trackpad and a dedicated Gemini key. Ports include HDMI, two USB-C ports, USB-A, a card reader and a 3.5 mm jack. The launcher appears to include Adobe Premiere Pro.

MacBook Neo sells out two weeks after launch
Apple launched the MacBook Neo, M5 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and Max chips in March, and CEO Tim Cook said the number of new Mac buyers hit a record high, NineToFiveMac reported. The outlet said the MacBook Neo, priced at $599, drove the result. It reported the lineup is sold out online in North America, with some Apple Stores showing waits into mid-April, while deliveries at Amazon and Walmart are also delayed.
