KOSPI nears 9,000 as stocks tied to second \'kkangbu meeting\' lead rally

South Korea\'s KOSPI jumped more than 3 percent on June 1 to set another record, led by gains in shares seen as linked to a second \'kkangbu meeting\' with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. Institutions were net buyers while foreigners sold heavily. Most heavyweight shares rose, including Samsung Electronics and NAVER, while the Kosdaq fell for a fifth straight session. The won strengthened against the dollar in Seoul trading.
