Gobao unveils \'X\' next-generation e-bike platform with 20-minute charging, AI automatic shifting
Gobao unveiled its next-generation electric bicycle platform, X, integrating a motor, gearbox and AI software into a single system. The company is promoting ultra-fast charging that can take a 750Wh battery from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 20 minutes and an AI-based automatic, continuously variable electronic shifting system. The platform comes in two models, X1 and X1P, and is designed for multiple bike types. Mass production is planned from February 2027.

South Korea launches CCU megaproject with LG Chem, POSCO Holdings
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Tuesday it held a launch briefing for a \"CCU Megaproject\" to conduct large-scale demonstrations of carbon capture and utilisation technology with private companies including LG Chem and POSCO Holdings. The project will demonstrate producing e-SAF from emissions from thermal power plants and converting steel industry emissions into syngas and cleaner marine fuels. The ministry said 238 billion won in state funds will be invested from 2026 to 2030.

MSIT to expand climate response technology development with 3.4 trillion won investment
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Wednesday it is accelerating technology development to respond to climate change to implement government policy tasks and meet its 2035 greenhouse gas reduction target. The ministry has drawn up a 2026 implementation plan under its first basic plan for climate response technology development. It plans to invest 3.42 trillion won this year across emissions cuts, adaptation and an innovation ecosystem, up 14.1 percent from a year earlier.
