Tesla-SpaceX merger talk resurfaces as BYD vows to become world No. 1 in 5 years
Talk of a possible merger between SpaceX and Tesla is drawing renewed attention after SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell mentioned the possibility, lifting interest in a broader ecosystem spanning space, AI and mobility. Tesla is expanding its Full Self-Driving program in four European countries and won conditional approval in Denmark, while some on Wall Street cite insurance data to argue it is nearing Level 4. Water launches highway charging station search and recommendation service
Bright Energy Partners, which operates the Water fast-charging network for electric vehicles, said on Monday it has launched Water Express, a highway charging station search and recommendation service, in the Water app. The service focuses only on highway chargers, showing stations along a route in order of proximity and providing distance, number of chargers and connector type. Users can filter by connector type and charging speed and link to existing navigation apps.

Bright Energy Partners says solar, BESS holdings surpass 1.3 GW
Bright Energy Partners (BEP) said on June 9 it has secured 1.3 GW of renewable energy assets, combining solar power and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The company said it exceeded 1 GW in the first half of 2026 after passing 700 MW in the third quarter of 2025, with assets more than doubling over the past two years. BEP said it is developing more than 1 GW more and is expanding BESS and power supply contracts.
