Clicks to ship Blackberry-style physical keyboard phone Communicator in December
Clicks will begin shipping its first smartphone, the Communicator, in December, about a year after unveiling it at CES 2026, an Engadget report said. The company raised some final specifications, including increasing RAM to 12GB and battery capacity to 4,350 mAh. The phone runs Android 17 and will receive software support through Android 20, with five years of security updates. The price rises to $649 from Oct. 1.

Forrester warns OpenAI could become AI\'s BlackBerry, urges avoiding vendor lock-in
Market research firm Forrester has advised corporate customers to guard against dependence on a single supplier ahead of OpenAI\'s IPO, The Register reported on June 11. In a report timed to OpenAI\'s confidential filing, Forrester urged buyers to avoid being tied into long-term contracts and to keep architectures flexible, warning OpenAI could become AI\'s BlackBerry. It said OpenAI faces three challenges, and urged buyers to choose needed capabilities and prepare to switch vendors.

Mythos emerges as AI-driven mobile app attacks surge
Security firms are publishing early experiences of Anthropic’s AI model Mythos, which was first shared on a limited basis with some companies, with Cloudflare standing out. Cloudflare said Mythos is a tool on a different level from earlier general-purpose frontier models, citing attack-chain building and proof generation. Separately, Anthropic is allowing Mythos users to share cyber threat information with other companies exposed to similar vulnerabilities.
