ITCEN PNS, a security platform company under the ITCEN Group, said on May 19 it signed a partnership agreement with global security software company BlackBerry and will supply BlackBerry’s key security and crisis response solutions in the South Korean market.

Under the agreement, BlackBerry solutions to be supplied in South Korea include a real-time crisis response communications and personnel safety management platform (BlackBerry AtHoc), mission-critical communications security (BlackBerry SecuSUITE), unified endpoint management (BlackBerry UEM) and embedded software (QNX). ITCEN PNS plans to combine its biometric authentication-based security technology and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) capabilities with BlackBerry solutions to introduce advanced integrated security services.

The two companies plan to start the business focusing on South Korea’s public, finance and defence markets and gradually expand the scope of cooperation to various industries. They also plan to jointly build a protection system that organically combines integrated security and crisis response to meet rising demand in the South Korean market for responses to intelligent cyber threats and disasters.

Won-gyu Park (박원규), CEO of ITCEN PNS, said that as digital transformation accelerates and security threats become more intelligent, securing global-level security and response capabilities is more important than ever. He said the company will work with BlackBerry to provide South Korean customers with a more reliable security platform and crisis response solutions and lead the market based on an AI-based integrated security strategy.

Han-jin Song (송한진), BlackBerry Korea country manager, said South Korea is an important market where demand is rapidly rising for advanced security and crisis response capabilities in the public, finance and defence sectors. He said cooperation with ITCEN PNS will contribute to strengthening digital resilience by protecting critical national and corporate infrastructure and ensuring operational continuity and security even in crisis situations.
