China court rules bitcoin is property; man gets 11 years for stealing 107 BTC
A Chinese court has sentenced a man to prison for stealing more than 100 bitcoin using a wallet seed phrase, recognising bitcoin as property protected under criminal law. The Qingdao Licang District People’s Court sentenced the man to 10 years and 9 months in prison and fined him 100,000 yuan after finding he accessed a victim’s wallet and transferred 107 BTC. The court also accepted that he cashed out part of the bitcoin for more than $97,000.

Strategy sells 32 bitcoins, ending \'infinite accumulation\' narrative
Michael Saylor, co-founder and chairman of Strategy, published an essay calling for “disciplined expansion” of bitcoin. The comments come as large amounts of money exit spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds and Strategy itself sells 32 bitcoins, shaking market confidence. In the essay, Saylor said the bitcoin base layer should be treated as sacred infrastructure and innovation should occur through higher layers and financial systems. Analysts cited liquidation and weakening derivatives indicators.

Rakuten, Exodus and Binance speed up XRP ecosystem expansion
XRP is expanding its ecosystem across major crypto platforms, payment services and exchanges. In recent weeks, Rakuten, Exodus Movement, Bitget Wallet and Binance have introduced or expanded XRP and XRP Ledger-related features, The Crypto Basic reported. Rakuten integrated XRP into its payment system in Japan, linking XRP to over 44 million users and more than 5 million merchants. Exodus and Bitget Wallet broadened XRPL functions, including support for Ripple stablecoin RLUSD, while Binance completed RLUSD integration on XRPL.
