Bitget registers as financial service provider to expand New Zealand business

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has registered as a financial service provider with New Zealand’s Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR). The registration allows Bitget to expand services in New Zealand, including foreign exchange conversion, domestic and international remittances, custody of client assets, and portfolio and fund management. Bitget has been widening licences and registrations in various countries. It has also announced plans for a European headquarters in Vienna and appointed Oliver Stauber as Bitget EU chief executive.

XRP rally could stall at $2.22 sell wall

XRP is trying to regain the $1 level, but an overhang of supply from mid-term holders who bought around $2 could act as strong resistance, an analysis said. On-chain data showed the average realised price for investors who bought 6 to 12 months ago was about $2.22, well above the current price. Derivatives funding rates were mixed by exchange, while futures volume continued to dwarf spot trading. Key near-term levels were cited at $1.11 and $1.36.

A Robinhood co-founder\'s cryptocurrency wallet recovery phrase was exposed during a livestream, triggering a surge and subsequent plunge in the \'$1\' memecoin. The attacker gained access to a wallet holding about $1.5 million and bought large amounts of the token, prompting thousands of investors to copy the trades. The token’s market value jumped about 28-fold and was later classified by Bitget as a pump-and-dump case.
