Hyperliquid\'s HYPE token added to Nasdaq CME crypto index with 3.36 percent weight

Hyperliquid\'s HYPE token has been newly included in the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index, following a quarterly rebalancing after a prospectus supplement for the Hashdex Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Bitcoin and ether kept the largest weights at 74.36 percent and 11.88 percent. HYPE entered at 3.36 percent, close to Solana\'s 3.79 percent, while XRP held third place at 5.21 percent.

Bitcoin BIP-110 fork row flares; Ripple ex-CTO says premise is wrong

David Schwartz (데이비드 슈워츠), a former chief technology officer of Ripple, criticised the logic behind a split-chain push by supporters of Bitcoin’s BIP-110. He argued that the phrase “fixing the legacy chain” rests on a flawed premise. The exchange followed a debate over a planned hard fork that would switch the proof-of-work algorithm from SHA-256d to BLAKE2b. Broader ecosystem support for the new chain remains unconfirmed.

Shiba Inu taps Japan institutional market as new exchange picks approved assets

Shiba Inu was included among six approved cryptocurrencies at Laser Digital Japan, a crypto investment firm that completed registration with Japan\'s Financial Services Agency. U.Today reported the FSA approved the firm\'s registration on Aug. 21, marking the first license issued to a new crypto exchange in four years. The firm selected bitcoin, ether, XRP, bitcoin cash, litecoin and Shiba Inu as priority supported assets, enabled by Shiba Inu\'s presence on the JVCEA green list.
