SoftBank invests $457 million in UK AI chipmaker Graphcore
SoftBank has injected an additional $457 million into UK artificial intelligence chip company Graphcore. Graphcore issued a single share worth $457 million on April 10, and a company spokesperson confirmed the funds were SoftBank’s investment. A person familiar with both companies said the money is part of funding Graphcore is set to receive from SoftBank this year, suggesting further support. SoftBank bought Graphcore in 2024 and is expanding its AI and semiconductor investments.

WinningAI to attend JPMorgan Technology Innovation Forum, showcase multimodal biometric authentication platform
WinningAI, a provider of multi-biometric authentication and digital identity verification solutions, will give a presentation at JPMorgan Chase’s Technology Innovation Forum 2026 in India after receiving an invitation. The closed event is led by JPMC’s internal technology organization and focuses on verifying whether selected next-generation financial technologies can be applied to real financial services. The forum will be held in Bengaluru on May 4 to 5.

Genians surpasses 200 global customers
Genians said on April 7 it has surpassed 200 cumulative global customers as it rapidly expands its customer base mainly in overseas markets. The company said the shift from network access control to zero trust and the establishment of a cloud-based subscription model were key growth drivers. It said U.S. sales account for the largest share of overseas revenue, while the Middle East is emerging as a strategic hub, with new customers also added in APAC.
