Security firms are publishing early experiences of Anthropic’s AI model Mythos, which was first shared on a limited basis with some companies, with Cloudflare standing out. Cloudflare said Mythos is a tool on a different level from earlier general-purpose frontier models, citing attack-chain building and proof generation. Separately, Anthropic is allowing Mythos users to share cyber threat information with other companies exposed to similar vulnerabilities.

Igloo Corporation, an AI-based security operations and analytics platform company, said on May 19 it has obtained two new patents related to implementing an autonomous security operations centre. The first patent selects and blocks high-risk attacks among security alerts. The second has AI assess system security vulnerabilities and configuration errors and automatically apply appropriate defensive measures. The company aims to speed up building an agentic SOC system using these technologies.
