LG Uplus sets global benchmark to assess autonomy of fixed subscriber networks
LG Uplus has established a framework allowing global telecom operators to assess the level of autonomous operation in fixed subscriber networks using the same criteria. The company said it led the establishment of an autonomous network level assessment chart for fault management in fixed subscriber networks at industry body TM Forum. The chart was approved through TM Forum procedures, enabling operators to diagnose and compare autonomy levels and use results to identify improvements and set strategies.

Waymo robotaxi stockpile hits 953, with 684 ready for deployment
Waymo has built up 953 robotaxis at its Mesa, Arizona, site, with 684 already fitted with sensors and converted for immediate deployment, a monthly aerial-photo analysis shows. The count also identified 12 completed Hyundai Ioniq 5-based robotaxis for the first time. Waymo said its sixth-generation hardware cuts sensor count 42 percent and costs under $20,000 per vehicle. Waymo processes more than 500,000 paid rides a week and targets 1 million by end-2026.

KT holds AX Tech Connect to share AI, data and network technology results
KT unveiled its research and development results in AI, data and network technology and its artificial intelligence transformation (AX) execution strategy. KT said it held “AX Tech Connect 2026” at its KT Umyeon R&D Center in Seoul. The event featured an exhibition of the latest AI, data and network technologies and related presentations, including the Mi:deum K model, multimodal AI, agentic AI-based solutions and the Data AX Core.
