Korea Fintech Industry Association, XRPL Korea to support commercialisation of digital asset businesses
The Korea Fintech Industry Association said it signed an agreement with XRPL Korea on Aug. 20 to help domestic fintech firms identify and commercialise new digital asset-based businesses. The two plan joint programmes focused on payments, remittances and settlement, stablecoins, tokenisation of real-world assets and digital asset financial infrastructure. They will support idea verification, proof-of-concept work and service implementation, and may link follow-up cooperation with global XRPL networks and financial institutions.

Bitcoin spot ETFs turn to outflows while ethereum extends inflows
Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) posted net outflows of $219 million on Aug. 28, local time, ending a nine-session streak of inflows. On the same day, ethereum spot ETFs recorded net inflows of $102 million, extending inflows to 10 sessions. Bitcoin spot ETFs’ cumulative net inflows fell to about $55.1 billion, with total net assets of about $93.9 billion. Ethereum spot ETFs’ cumulative net inflows rose to about $12.9 billion, with net assets of about $13.8 billion.

Bitcoin retreats to $77,000s after hawkish Jackson Hole remarks
Bitcoin slipped from the $80,000 level after hawkish remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at Jackson Hole. At 7 a.m. on Aug. 29, Bitcoin was down 3.43 percent on the day at $77,364, Coin360 data showed. Ether fell 3.08 percent to $2,425 and XRP dropped 5.28 percent to $1.372, while Solana fell 4.7 percent. Bitcoin dominance held at 59.15 percent.
