Cisco to buy identity security firm Widefield to bolster Splunk agentic SOC
Cisco will acquire identity lifecycle security company Widefield Security, SecurityWeek reported on June 19. Cisco formalises plan to acquire AI agent security startup Astrix
Cisco said on May 4 it plans to acquire Astrix Security, a startup specialising in security for non-human identities. Israeli media outlet Calcalist reported the deal size was about $400 million. Based in Tel Aviv, Astrix develops software that monitors AI agents and applies security controls. The company focuses on protecting digital access credentials such as API keys, service accounts and authentication tokens.
