Cisco formalises plan to acquire AI agent security startup Astrix
Cisco said on May 4 it plans to acquire Astrix Security, a startup specialising in security for non-human identities. Israeli media outlet Calcalist reported the deal size was about $400 million. Based in Tel Aviv, Astrix develops software that monitors AI agents and applies security controls. The company focuses on protecting digital access credentials such as API keys, service accounts and authentication tokens.

Cisco Systems is in talks to acquire Israeli AI agent security startup Astrix Security, The Information reported on Thursday. The deal is valued at about $250 million to $350 million, The Information said, citing sources familiar with the matter. Astrix sells software that monitors AI agents and strengthens security.
