Aster revamps tokenomics, allocates 99 percent of daily fees to ASTER buybacks

Decentralised exchange Aster announced an overhaul of its ASTER token economy. The plan centres on automatically using 99 percent of daily platform fees to buy ASTER. An amount equal to the purchased tokens will be burned every two weeks, starting with team allocations, with team holdings burned first until total supply reaches 3 billion tokens. Purchased ASTER will be distributed to veASTER stakers as royalty rewards in proportion to their locked amounts. A 50,000 USDT token listing fee on Aster Spot will also fund ASTER buybacks for additional staking rewards.

Ahead of a 2026 cryptocurrency bull market, 10 early-stage projects including elizaOS, Monad, Midnight and Zora are being mentioned as candidates with “1,000x upside potential.” The Crypto Basic introduced the list on May 14, citing next-generation narratives such as AI, privacy, Layer 1 and the creator economy. It warned that small-cap tokens carry major risks, including extreme volatility, liquidity shortages and project failure.

POSCO Future M restores biodiversity at Naengcheon stream in Pohang

POSCO Future M carried out employee volunteer work on April 22 to help restore the ecosystem of Naengcheon stream in Pohang. About 40 employees and family members made seed balls by mixing loess and seeds and threw them across the area, which is being restored after typhoon damage in 2022. The activity was part of the company’s “Future M Nature Guard Day” programme aimed at biodiversity restoration and environmental clean-up.
