Morgan Stanley expands crypto product lineup with Ethereum, Solana ETPs

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched exchange-traded products tracking ether and solana, expanding a cryptocurrency product lineup that had been limited to bitcoin. The new products are Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust. They trade on NYSE Arca as MSSE and MSOL and track benchmark settlement prices set at 4 p.m. in New York. The firm plans to stake some assets and pass rewards to investors.

DCG-backed Uma launches Bittensor investment fund for institutions

Uma, backed by Digital Currency Group, has launched an institutional investment product called the Uma Total Market Fund. The fund offers exposure in one vehicle to Bittensor’s native token TAO and AI-focused subnets, allowing institutions to invest across the Bittensor ecosystem without selecting individual subnet tokens. Uma said the combined value of 128 subnets exceeds $900 million. Interest and related products tied to TAO are also expanding among asset managers.

U.S. CLARITY bill faces last-minute tug of war ahead of July 4 recess over three key hurdles

A U.S. Senate crypto market structure bill known as the CLARITY Act is running into three hurdles before a possible floor vote ahead of the July 4 congressional recess. The Senate has yet to set a voting schedule and needs at least 60 votes to advance. Committees are also working to reconcile competing bill texts, including how to divide oversight between the SEC and CFTC. Ethics provisions, along with calls to curb prediction markets, add to the uncertainty.
