Both markets triggered a sell-side sidecar and a first-stage circuit breaker, halting trading for 20 minutes. Foreigners were net sellers in the main market, while the won ended 4.40 won higher at 1,461.60 per dollar.

Claude usage patterns differ by time and purpose between weekdays and weekends
Anthropic released a report analysing how users actually use Claude across Claude.ai, Claude Code and API services. It found personal use rises on weekends across all services, while weekday use skews more toward work. Daily conversation increases overnight, while work-related use grows from morning to afternoon. The report also identified topic-based peaks, a surge in U.S. tax queries before April 15, and differences by gender and income.

ETF market cap tops 500 trillion won for first time as KOSPI rallies above 8,000
South Korea’s exchange-traded fund market capitalisation topped 500 trillion won for the first time as the KOSPI extended gains, including trading above the 8,000 level. The combined market value of 1,132 ETFs listed on domestic markets reached 501.1 trillion won as of May 27, according to the Korea Exchange and others. The milestone comes 24 years after ETFs were first listed in October 2002.
