SpaceX wins $2.29 billion U.S. Space Force military satellite network contract
SpaceX has won a $2.29 billion contract from the U.S. Space Force to build a military satellite communications network, with a working prototype required by the end of 2027. The project aims to create a space data network backbone using low-Earth-orbit satellites and optical links to speed up and harden U.S. military communications.
