Micron backs Anthropic with partnership and strategic investment
Micron Technology has signed a comprehensive partnership with Anthropic covering high-performance memory supply and strategic investment to strengthen cooperation on AI infrastructure. The companies will work on AI architecture design, memory and storage supply-chain visibility and use of Anthropic’s generative AI model Claude. Micron joined Anthropic’s Series H funding round as a strategic investor. Anthropic raised $65 billion in May, lifting its valuation to $965 billion, and Claude has about 30 million monthly active users.

Anthropic raises $65 billion in Series H round, valuation rises to $965 billion
Anthropic raised $65 billion in a Series H funding round, lifting its valuation to $965 billion. TechCrunch reported the fundraising is likely to be the company’s last financing before an IPO. The round was co-led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, Sequoia Capital, Capital Group, Coatue and D1 Capital Partners, with other institutional investors participating. Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron also joined. Anthropic said it will use the funds to expand safety and interpretability research, increase computing and expand products and partnerships.
