AI raises value of originals as X, Naver race to secure original content

Generative AI is lowering content production costs and driving rapid growth in text, images and video, while also increasing the spread of similar posts or lightly modified copies of others’ work. The value of original material reflecting direct experience and expertise is rising. X has begun granting existing revenue-share participants access to apply for an “original content rewards” programme, while Naver is selecting creators based on AI-search citations and topic expertise, with monthly payments and additional support for top creators.

Naver says blog creators\' income doubles after AI Briefing launch

Naver said on Thursday that income and support for creators on its blog platform have risen by about twofold since it introduced its AI Briefing search service. As of June, the combined total of AdPost payouts, Brand Connect earnings and Naver Mate activity grants was about double the level in February last year, before AI Briefing. AdPost payouts alone increased 14 percent over the period.
